THE VISION\
FROM CANVAS TO 3D, TED-PAUL TAKES HIS FIRST STEP
Pixar’s RenderMan team invited us to push the boundaries of stylization in RenderMan 27, using Jesper Ejsing’s artwork as our guide. For this exploration, Jesper designed Ted-Paul specifically for this project, a character born to bridge his signature painting style and the possibilities of 3D.
Our mission was simple yet ambitious: to imagine how Jesper’s vision could live and breathe in three dimensions. With RenderMan 27 XPU, we developed workflows that stretched beyond the familiar, experimenting with stylized looks, our mission was capturing the essence of his art. Along the way, curiosity, collaboration, and discovery fueled the process, empowered by technology from Dell and Xencelabs.
This is only the first chapter of Ted-Paul’s story. And it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.
